The Green Lantern’s superpowers come to him through his infamous power ring that must be recharged every twenty-four hours. With the onslaught of superhero movies like Batman Returns and Superman Returns, comic book characters parties are more popular than ever.
Since the Green Lantern is identified by his green and black suit and glowing green power ring then green and black are the best colors to build your decoration theme around for the Green Lantern Party. Balloons, streamers and crepe paper of green and black will be great accents both inside and outside the party. Invitations to a Green Lantern party can be made at home using green construction paper or purchased at a party supply store.
A terrific party favor for your next Green Lantern party is his coveted power ring. Have the guests create their own power rings by taking ordinary plastic jeweled rings and give them the Green Lantern twist! Have each child select a ring and then take it outside. With adult assistance have each child spray paint their own ring as though it’s being charged by the Green Lantern.
Don’t forget to include a green jell-o mold or cake at your Green Lantern party. While the miniature Green Lanterns may devour the jell-o, it also doubles as a terrific decoration to the snack table.
